Twist NV is a manufacturer of RYO (Roll Your Own) & MYO (Make Your Own) tobacco that was founded in 2004 by Johan and Regine Vandermarliere. Fuelled by years of experience acquired by Johan Vandermarliere in the tobacco sector, the company was able to get off to a flying start.

For the first four years, the company was housed in rented premises measuring 1000 m2 in Melle. With rapid expansion of the company came a very clear need to relocate to larger premises. Hence the decision to move (in May 2009) to new company premises in Wetteren with a surface area of 8000m2.

Thanks to this relocation to larger premises, among others, the company was able to significantly expand the number of products and production facilities. And thanks to ongoing investments, we have been able to maintain the whole production process in-house. One positive consequence of this is that the young and dynamic sales team is able to respond very rapidly to the latest developments in the market.
